These Magic Cookie Bars are a nostalgic, sweet treat with layers of flavor and texture. A crunchy graham cracker crust is topped with rich chocolate chips, shredded coconut, and sweetened condensed milk that binds it all into a gooey, irresistible dessert. No mixing bowls needed – just layer and bake!

πŸ›’ Ingredients

  • 1 Β½ cups (150g) graham cracker crumbs
  • Β½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (120g) sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup (120g) chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans, optional)
  • 1 can (14 oz / 400 ml) sweetened condensed milk

πŸ‘©β€πŸ³ Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Line a 9×13-inch (23×33 cm) baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Make the crust: In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form a firm crust.
  3. Layer ingredients:
    • Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the crust.
    • Add a layer of chopped nuts (if using).
    • Sprinkle shredded coconut over the top.
    • Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over everything – do not stir.
  4. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and edges are bubbling slightly.
  5. Cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars. For cleaner cuts, chill in the fridge for 1 hour before slicing.

🍴 Tips & Variations

  • No nuts? Just skip them – still delicious!
  • Try butterscotch chips, white chocolate, or a mix of chocolates for different flavor combos.
