ROYAL HEARTACHE — King Charles Backs William & Kate After “Terrible Pain” Shakes Palace

King Charles is reportedly offering his full support to Prince William and Princess Kate’s decision to raise their children away from London. According to insiders, the royal couple plans to relocate to Forest Lodge in Windsor later this year.

Support in Difficult Times

The move comes after a challenging 2024, during which the Princess of Wales underwent preventative chemotherapy.

A source was quoted saying:

“If prioritizing his family helps William become a better king, then it’s clearly a worthy investment.”

Another insider added:

“The Prince of Wales has had an incredibly tough time of late… he lost his beloved grandmother, fell out with his brother, and endured terrible heartache with both his father and his wife. If this choice makes him feel happier and more confident when the time comes for him to accede to the throne, then it’s something his father supports wholeheartedly.”

A separate royal source told the Daily Mail that:

“The whole point of having a Prince of Wales with his own household and funding from the monarch is to allow him the space and autonomy to do things differently. Sometimes they succeed, sometimes they fail. But even their failures prepare them to become better kings. Don’t forget His Majesty himself went through his fair share of ups and downs as heir to the throne.”

Moving to Forest Lodge

The Wales family has reportedly selected Forest Lodge in Windsor as their long-term home.

King Charles is also spending more time at Windsor Castle to be closer to his son and grandchildren.

Forest Lodge is a substantial upgrade from their current residence, Adelaide Cottage, which has just four bedrooms. Forest Lodge has eight bedrooms over three stories, six bathrooms, a long gallery, and underwent £1.5 million in renovations in 2001.

Although the Wales family will pay market rent for Forest Lodge, the specifics of the amount will not be publicly disclosed.

The building work is already underway, and they are expected to move in before the end of 2025.

Insiders say their 2022 move from Kensington Palace to Adelaide Cottage was a “trial run” to judge whether the Windsor area would suit their lifestyle.
